All things testify of Christ
For the past few years, I have been in the process of writing a book covering the concept that all things testify of Christ, hence "ATTOC". One of my favorite subjects, in this regard, is ancient mythology and religion. I have often heard opponents to religion, and particularly Christianity, state that since there are so many simmilarities and parrallels between ancient and modern mythos and religion, none of them can be true. I find this assertion flawed in that each of these ancient and modern religious traditions serve as a witness to the truth. I expect that some of my posts will discuss individual instances of these witnesses.
My Testimony
I have been thoughtful lately regarding how I should go about sharing with others my thoughts, feelings and testimony of Jesus Christ, His gospel and His church. I am a member of The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day Saints. I have had many trials, doubts, hardships, victories, triumphs and conversions. Through these many faith building experiences: I have come to know that Jesus Christ walked this earth, paid the price for our sins that we might be exhalted, died that we might live again and I have come to know that He lives now. Through long hours of contemplation, sleepless nights and the quiet wisperings of the Spirit: I have come to know that our Heavenly Father prepared a plan for us that we might be happy. He ultimately provided a savior for us, provided a way that we could become like Him and in our time, he has provided for the restoration of His gospel. I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior and that He lives. I know that through faith and divine intervention, the prophet Joseph Smith followed the direction given to him directly by: Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, The Holy Ghost and by holy angels, translated the Book of Mormon and restored the original Church of Jesus Christ. I have felt the sacred promptings of my God and have become a better man, husband and father by following those promptings.
